Clouds Over Dalat (a poem)
The sun has welcomed this final week in Dalat,
and behind dark sunglasses I blink about a million times at the incomparable blue sky.
Never mind that the thunderheads seem inclined to reclaim the afternoon for themselves.
Clouds are even more temporary than the stubborn men who'd have you believe that the world is locked in a struggle between good and evil.
Evil-doers and do-gooders beware!
The sky will outlast ye both. And will be more fondly remembered.
